#49567 - RE: Is it April already?? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
"I appologize from Dan cause i missunderstand."
Farshid, No apologies needed my friend. If anything, it is me who should be apologizing to you for writing something in a manner that could be interpreted as a personal thing and for any time you spent thinking you were being laughed at or ridiculed. You are not the only one that took it the wrong way; Jez did too (and possibly others). Now that everybody is on the same page, here is a link to a really cool little ARM-based embedded Linux "cube" that we used on a project recently as a "hub" collecting sensor data from 1000's of RF transceivers. http://www.intrinsyc.com/products/cerfcube/ Unfortunately, I was on the deeply embedded microcontroller side of the project (the sensor with RF transceiver side) and never got to fool around with the cube. I added that little cube to my list of things to buy and play with when I get time (hehe, like that'll ever happen). In fact, right now I'm working on a demo/reference design project for Xilinx and their Virtex-II Pro Platform FPGA with embedded PowerPC. Again I am "stuck" doing a bunch of deeply embedded, down-and-dirty stuff while another group gets to play with embedded Linux on the same platform (but different project). Bummer. I am partial to the smaller embedded stuff, but the smaller stuff often ends up "talking" to bigger stuff. At some point I'm going to have to figure out a way to get embedded Linux under my belt and on the resume, adding more breadth of experience. Best regards, -- Dan Henry |
