How did you measure the pulse signal? A deviation of 1 second/hour means it has a frequency of 1.00027777Hz, so if the counter you are using has only four digits resolution, you won't see any difference. Are you using a crystal? What is the clock frequency? Which timer mode do you use? Also remember that a 'standard' crystal has a tolerance of +/- 100ppm, which equates to a possible deviation of 8.64 seconds/day for your clock. If you want better, you will have to have some way of calibrating the oscillator. Best regards, Rob. |
