What you need is a timing source which has this error corrected automatically. Fortunately there is such a source. It is utility you get your power from. Use that as your timing source and you will get better accuracy.
I thought so until a few years ago when someone told me that this is not the case anymore because when they lock two power sources one may be a few seconds behind, the other a few seconds ahead and when locked both can not be corrected.
