I forgot to metion,the newer low voltage logic families in use in high speed logic such as microprossors are if anything even more likely to be damaged by static discharge,if you dont belive me take the processor out of your computer,juggle with it for a minute or two and see if it still works when you put it back,if we don't hear back from you I think we will know what happend.
