I have less of a problem with "resolution" than accuracy, though quite what POINT there is to these silly numbers beats me.

We cascade two 12 bit DACs in a system for a motor speed profiler, final speed (0-10) volts is represented by one DAC, its output is multiplied by the output of the second DAC, which applies the profile. It gives us much smoother ramps at low final speeds, but the real accuracy must be less than 12 bits. Mustn't it ?
