#50674 - RE: Bad Understanding
Responding to: ???'s previous message
get 21 bits of accuracy as standard practice. They have been doing it for over twenty-five years. This type of precision is nothing new.
To listen to some of the explanations presented they will have you believe the Earth is flat AND not round

Continuing on that line, the earth is flat if you do not have
a) The budget to calibrate a scale for every darn microstep on an almost daily basis.
b) The ability and the budget to compensate for temperature and humidity.
c) have design and PCB layout skills as one of the very few.

I have been involved in designig scales and 21 bit precision is way beyond mass market commercial scales.

It would be interesting if Charles could tell us what one of those famous 21 bit scales cost.
