Hi Chris,
The beauty of steppers are that they give the accuracy of the closed loop drive in a open loop setup. Why do you want to complicate by trying to drive the stepper in closed loop ? A stepper that is methodically selected and applied to match the load with proper ramp up and ramp down times is a joy to work with. No feedback like an encoder / tacho is ever required. Maybe I have not got your requirement properly - and can help if the need is specific. Raghu |
