#51386 - Printhead position feedback Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Raghu,
All the new inkjet printers that I have looked have position feedback for the printhead. If you look inside, you can see a thin piece of transparent plastic that has tiny vertical black tick marks on it. This is part of the linear encoder that gives position and velocity feedback. The carriage contains the optical sensor to provide quadrature output for the carriage controller and print head firing. - Lee |
