Maybe you had a very non-linear pattern for the correction to be applied that forced you to go through the ADC / EPROM / DAC route !! Otherwise had it been a linear correction pattern then maybe you could have achieved the same with a simple summing amplifier with one leg from the setpoint pot and the other from the feedback pot , with suitable gain corrections ? This reminded me of an application where I used an EPROM for linearising a transducer output - as a student had plenty of time to manually enter the 4000 odd values ! Raghu |
