For CAN bus in truck applications, and as topologies were changing from a truck to an other, the termination stage was activated by wiring two pins per resistor, this means 4 pins on the connector dedicated to the termination switch.
Thus, we could change the configuration only by modification on the harness.

Note that 4 pins were required because the termination was designed with 2x60 ohms resistors and a grounded capacitor between the two resistors. When just opening one side, the other was still connected and active trhu the capacitor.
