...Does your re-post of this subject suggest that the RJ type shorting bar jack is not suitable for this current application? The RJ type jacks are actually quite good for a lot of applications. The plug has the snap in locking tab that keep the connector attached once it has been mated. Or is it your feeling that the cable end terminated with a RJ type plug is not rugged enough??
