#51532 - RE: FPGA training board Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Mahmood, Congratulations. You have another guy here who is in a similiar predicament as you. I have imported the same kit from Digilentic and as for manuals I have a few pages of circuit description of the PCBs that is stamped "Prelimnary". Took it up with Digilentic and got a reply that I would do well to read a book on Digital Design and use one of the free design tools from Lattice / Xilinix etc. Maybe they will come out with some Starter manual in due course. But guys responded well. OK I had spent something like 130 USD and possibly cant ask the "moon" for that. Anyway now I have got the free ISE WebPack design suite CDs from Xilinix - but am yet to start though I have also downloadedf thier 2MB download Tutorial. Time is the issue and also the anticipated learning curve. Interestingly, if you need the above ISE WebPack CD set ( 4 nos ) I can courier it to you free - I have landed with two sets. And looking at this thread postings, looks like many have a similiar problem starting off on CPLDs and FPGAs. Raghu |
