#54429 - RE: Off-topic posts by regular members Responding to: ???'s previous message |
But if there's support for such a secondary forum I could certainly create it and we could move off-topic stuff there, regardless of who posts it.
If a parallel forum is the solution, call it non-elelctronic or some such thing to avoid any subjective division. The problem here is that, while e.g. a power supply question may be considered off-topic by some, by others it will be considered on-topic as long as it supplies a '51 (or - even farther off - a '51 peripheral). Will a question such as "how do I calculate the resistors in the whetstone bridge that feed the ADC in my Cygnal" be on-topic or off? The above suggestion should make the dividing line clear. If it ends up that some electronic (and (marginally) '51 related) questions end up in the off-topic forum, everyone will need to follow both and nothing is gained. Erik |
