Yea, I put a logic probe on the ALE pin and it seems to go high for a minute duration, which should be during the MOVX instruction. So as far as I know this should activate the latch and latch through the lower 8 bit address. My primary concern was if there was anything chip/software related that I might be missing. This is for a class I am in, and another student has the same board, same circuitry wired up, and he is having the same problem. I know this is hard to consider in a message board, so I understand.
