I appreciate everyones help. As far as the LEDs, those are not an issue. For the LEDs to be activated all you have to do is set/clear bits on port 1. This is how my dev board is set up. I apologize because I excluded some apparently obvious details. I do have all ground/Vcc wires hooked up. I am NOT using all bits on port 2. I am only using three, to access up to 16k, and the fourth, P2.3, is used for the chip select on the RAM. I apologize for not clarifying that. I am going to try to use the pullup resistors on Port 0, and see if that helps. I am also going to try to post a link to schematic so if anyone wants to take a look. I am always learning, so I appreciate everyones help. It is nice to know there are resources out there like 8052.com. :)

The RAM I have is MCM6116 (2048 x 8 bit SRAM)
