Alright. This project is getting weird. I thought with the added delay that everything was working, mainly because without the delay it wasnt working before. I disconnected my ALE line, and it stopped working, which led me to believe that I WAS writing and reading to external ram. I then disconnected one by one my read and write lines, and it stopped working, all of which led me to believe that I WAS in fact writing to external ram. Well today my classmate disconnected my Vcc to my RAM chip and my 74LS373 latch, and my program seemed to be working occasionally (ie: I was seeing the correct value on the LEDS that I wrote out and read back in) How can this be? I am baffled. How can I be writing to external ram if my Vcc to my latch and ram are disconnected? But yet on the same token, if I was writing internally then why is it affected by disconnecting my ALE/READ/WRITE lines. I am in bewilderment regarding this predictament.
