#56656 - RE: PDF Version of 8052.com tutorial Responding to: ???'s previous message |
What about the people who contributed to the tutor? Will they get credit and profit from it also?
First, it is my intention for the PDF to be freely available on this website. There will be no earnings and no profits. So for the PDF version it is not an issue. If I take it to print then I would, of course, contact the two people that contributed to the tutorials (16-bit division and 4-bit LCDs). Technically they agreed to contribute the content to 8052.com and it became just as much a part of 8052.com as the tutorials that I wrote. But in the spirit of fairness and hoensty I would contact them anyway and get their explicit permission. And, regardless, they would receive full credit for their work--just as they do at 8052.com. I doubt there would be sufficient sales to even be worth worrying about royalties for the contributions, but that'd be something I'd have to work out with the two contributors.
