#56819 - RE: PDF Version of 8052.com tutorial Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I agree that there is no good way of ensuring that the pdf version doesn't go astray. Quoting another example, XBox produced a new protected console that was cracked in 7 days.
http://www.zdnet.com.au/newstech/...071,00.htm No matter the lengths that are taken, there will always be a minimal amount of theft. If this is not a money-making venture, then distribute it in as free and open a file as possible. The easier it is for the theft to occur, the less attractive the theft will appear. Instead of putting time into .jpg's which will fuel theft, spend the time getting a high visibility in search engines for the original document. If 8052 rip-off CDs start appearing on online trading sites, there must obviously be a need for such a product. 8052.com would be able to assemble a much better CD than almost anyone else out there. If 8052.com is the easiest source for this document, the only type of theft remaining is governed by professional etiquette. Most individual users are not going to jeopardize careers and credibility by not citing sources. Simon |
