#56690 - RE: *please* answer the LOCK BITS question

"I am in trouble to understand the reason of your defamatory words."

Consider the following defamatory remarks:

"I conclude that I cannot read from code space with 89c55wd."
Bahri Okuroglu, 10-07-03 15:02

"89C55WD is not working properly"
"this msg has`t got much attention"
"I had given up using 55WD"
Rustu Kaya, 10-08-03 09:00

These are serious allegations and should be backed up.

If I hadn`t been familiar to the British way of thinking, I would simply name the situation as Cultural Differance. In this case, definitely not.

you've been asked a direct question: does the datasheet description of the lock bits explain the behaviour you're worried about?

You should be able to answer that by simply looking at the datasheets and your memory map - NO need for any hardware!

Sorry, I thought the question was directed to Bahri not to me.

As one suffered from the problem and therefore lost time and money but not checked the datasheet again and again! To belive this would be sheer credulity.(no offence intended)

As to your question, in my case, no any lock bits touched.I am positively sure because my programmer (I developed) had no this feature.

"The discussion has turned out to be a compatibility problem"

Your answer to the Lock Bits question should confirm this, then.
Please see above.
