I decided to built two light sensers to check the time of an object passing through the sensers. I use the AT89C2051 to count the time, the MPU will send the result to the computer. I want a accurate value, so I have to use the 12MHz crystal for the AT89C2051 (It is easier for me to calculate the value of the time).

I decided to use the plugin - MSCOMM which is in Visual Basic 6.0. I found that there are only several baudrate for me to use (e.g. 9600bps). If I use those baudrate, I have to use the 11.0592MHz Crystal for the AT89C2051, and it is difficult for me to calculate the time.

What can I do?
Is there a baudrate is suitable for the VB and the AT89C2051 (12MHz Crystal)?
