Visual Basic program in moving display
Go ahead, but be ready for a magnificent failure. One of the largest surprises I have got in my long career has been how much processing speed is required to make a multicolor and/or moving LED display. I even had to resort to assembler in some routines.

The likelyhood that you will achieve this in BASIC, I will hold as minimal.
