This reset problem is not being put into a proper perspective. There is an estimated 600 million 8051 type IC's sold each year. Probably 599 million of them have this resistor, capacitor combination as a reset circuit working perfectly satisfactory. The other million is probably temperamentally caused by poor design and so called professionals that don't really understand what they are doing. Their crutch to this lack of understanding is to Band-Aid it with circuits such as supervisors. Use your common senses to trouble shoot your circuit. It will get you further down the road than listening to people who only say one thing is wrong with your problem. Regards, Charles Bannister |
