If you have logic power lines of 24V you can do that
as it has got enough noise margine and definitely a Very Big resistance before your opto so dont worry but never do this with 5V lines .............mehmet state the reason for your statement maybe I miss some knowledge .I think if you use 24v power supply logic line you definitely use 2.2K resistor in series to drop it and a tantalum along with it .


I will agree if logic lines a 5V TTL or so .
