I second the roller suggestion. That's the first thing I thought of, the rollers and guides with the wire create a static electricity generator. In addition to the noise filtering suggestions previously given, you need to add some brushes to draw off the charge before it builds up to levels where it can cause problems. Different roller material could help also.
