Hi Ragu,
The RS one is made by Spectrol AKA Vishay. Try http://www.vishay.com/resistors...ansducers/ and http://www.vishay.com/docs/57073/830860.pdf Life is limited to 900 hours rated though. Bear in mind you can probably calibrate out non-linearities. Make sure you use a heli-cal flexible coupling between the pot and the sensed member - it will improve the mechanical life quite a bit.
