Hi Ben,
the TLC2272 is a cheap and fast rail to rail op-amp. A comparator can not be used, since at 5V output it must work as amplifier. A rail to rail op-amp avoid under and overshooting on switching to 0V or to 12V. A slower op-amp can be used, if the settling time was consider in the software. Peter |
