#6004 - RE: The Atmel Programer: |
Hi Simon,
In response to your questions. Q. Is Atmel's programer circuit also exactly the same. A. Yes. Note - I did have a problem with 2N2222's. The circuit called for 2N3904's but I tried 2N2222's and the LM317 voltage regulator output 0.5 volts less than what it was supposed to. When I switched back to 2N3904 the output went back to 12.0 Vdc Q. Does it work in windows. A. Yes, it works well in Windows 3.11, and Windows 95. I never tried it in Windows 98. Note - The unit was designed for DOS application and that is what it should be used under. I have purchased a cheap laptop ($10 at flea market) which I use the programmer with. Q. Does anybody have an idea how my programer can work fine in Windows as well. A. I don't have an answer about how to make your programmer work in Windows. Why fight it when the answer is so simple, just buy a cheap DOS computer? Charlie Bannister |
