#59995 - Need Special Type DIP Switch |
I am working on a project where the inputs to the Cygnal C8051F226 microcontroller are optically coupled. There is a desire to provide a configuration switch on the PC board to permit re-configuration of the input coupler circuit from operating as a current sourcing load to a current sinking load. Placing this capability on the board greatly simplifies the instructions that need to be given to the installer AND also simplifies the field wiring setup.
Has anyone seen or come across a special type of DIP switch that could perform the re-configuration process with the slide of a switch as opposed to me equipping the board with a matrix of jumper posts on 2.54 mm centers? The picture below is an attempt to show how a 4 gang switch would look and how the switching element of each switch pole would work. ![]() Thanks Michael Karas |
