The reason i use SSR for this project is that it contains no moving parts and thus i think it will lasts longer, saver because it uses optocoupler, and my client doesn't like the clicking sound of 'normal' relay.
I have tested it with lamps that use starter switch, and i don't have the blinking lamp problem. So, as the deadline was postponed until january next year, i'll just continue to test wether the use of SSR will destroy the lamp's ballast or not. But in case i still want to use 10W rapid stard lamp with SSR, what kind of bleed resistor could you suggest, other than paralleling a low watt incandescent lamp? Thanks a lot! |
