Take a lesson from those of us doing real embedded design professionally, use a reset generator and get into the habit of correct design now

~10 years ago I consulted for a company that was approaced by another company with "we will buy 500.000 units for $x (competetive business, that is what we can pay) whatever less you can make them for will be your profit".

A failure of that equipment would not have had catastrophic results (no moving parts)

The engineer in charge of the project was one of the most experienced embedded engrs I have ever worked with.

That product had a supervisor chip although a substantial profit could have been made by using RC.
