You certainly need to come up with a good product (dont call it a project - it sounds too academic) which prospective users find a must-have. Its hard to imagine something that isnt available, but you can compete on features, cost, support and of course reliability.

Raghu, Michael I really appreciate your warnings, in as much they are true, one cannot get thorough knowledge and experience without actually doing things. Its a chicken or egg problem. I would suggets them to keep on working, decide thair targets, make a roadmap and stick to it.
