Hi Raghu,
You water level cotnroller failed in the market only because the consumers lack in quality awareness. Amost entire population is geared only to look for cheap solutions out there. No one pays a damn to how your (slightly costlier) controller is superior and will not require a quick replacement and has many safety features built in. Here in Pakistan the story is no different. You launch a good product today and next month you will see its cheap immitation picking up sales and you feel like the underdog. That's the irony, only because there is no good policy on quality control. Above all the Chinese have perferctly screwed the market. I don't know how do they succeed in making real damn low cost products. You plan to develop a CLI display and end up with a market price say like Rs. 1000 / -- but how come ?? There are Chinese CLIs out there for only Rs. 250 / -- with as many good features as you offered. Who would want to spend extra Rs. 750/-- for you.... I don't see a bright future for embedded programers. Only big companies may survive. Babar |
