Come to think of it, hacking the open source BASIC 52 code to get it to run on the Atmel or Philips parts would be a very neat little project.......

The old basic was in only 8K of ROM, so one could steal a little more these days and provide commands for the PCA.

The dual DPTR can be profitably used to compress the source a little too I think.

Are there any dual serial port offerings ?
