Someone must older than me and remember the old HP 2114's 2116's Honneywell 316 where 4k of 16 bit core was great. Toggleing the boot loader in by 16 binary switches, then loading them with IBM index card readers. It was neat when we advanced to paper tape readers in the earley 70's.
