O how often have I heard it "but it works". Testing does not prove the absence of bugs, it proves the absence of known bugs. I can give you examples of errors that will show up only under VERY unique circumstances and critizising such practices almost always result in "but it works" from the person you are informing. Yes, it works and probably will keep working, but can you guarantee that the unique circumstance that will throw it off will never happen ?
