#6293 - RE: "Strapping" the /EA-Vpp Pin |
All,
I ask, why leave a pin unconnected? It costs virtually nothing to connect it, and leaving it unconnected doesn't provide any benefits. As engineers we must live in the world of worst case scenarios. Also, I have heard horror stories of such designs working well now, but when using another suppliers IC, or existing IC undergoes die change, the pin may float to a different level, rendering the design inoperable.
