If your going to add another chip ,then why not add a cheap Holtek DTMF generator. The whole idea of using floating point is ludicrous for DTMF.. All that is needed is a couple of tables and a phase accumulator. All done in software...no other chips (except maybe a DAC or R2R->opamp). |
