Take care making changes to fix something without knowing what the problem is (AKA "shotgunning"). If the problem goes away, did you fix it, or merely hide it until some more obsure timing circumstance comes along?

I really really hate it when a problem goes away and I'm not POSITIVE that what I did FIXED the problem...which of course require a full and complete understanding of the problem.
