Dear Maniraj,

I think you are mistaken. The diagram on page 35 of the data sheet shows the DIN pulled up to Vcc and DOUT connected to P3.0 of the MCU. There is no short between DIN and DOUT.

That particular para dealing with either a 2 wire interface or 3 wire interface warrants careful reading. In your set up that you described, you mixed up both.

Read the data sheet once more for further details of using the chip in this minimal mode.
