I was putting together the relay board of 8 Relays which I require to switch.

I am using GOODsky 6V cube relay from Goodsky


I have put a 1n4007 diode with opposite polarity.

I will use the following cofiguration

p3 -> 7404->ULN2300 (1b)->1C->Relay

relay one end connected to +5V from the unregulated end
(to avoid over heating of regulator)
and other end to 1C...7C so on

I am using a 4k7 Resistor network for pull up of port 0
of 89c51

Please check this and let me know If I need to take more care in some area

Also can any one tell me where can I find some sites on good PCB designing tips.
