Another thing, you are making a prototype, you probably don't want to have problems with the power supply, there usually are other problems to solve. For a prototype the cost for the regulator is low but you could easily spend hours troubleshooting if the voltage varies when you read or write to the EEPROM.
When your prototype works, you can start cutting costs when doing production. Anders |
