#75831 - Do not intermix! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thomas,
it's not at all a good idea to intermix both power supplies. Do either use parts only needing 3.0V or parts needing 5.0V! In some certain cases it might be unavoidable to use one or two chips of different power supply voltage. But then a very careful analysis must be done to be sure that according chips fit well together. In high speed applications this is not at all a trivial task... If you decide to proceed with 3.0V, then go to the websites of manufacturers of digital chips, like Texas Instruments, Philips, etc. and search for digital chip families running at 3.0V. But do not arbitrarily intermix both supply voltages! And provide real good power supply decoupling for your EEPROM, as Rob has strongly recommended it! Kai |
