#7629 - RE: Software design methods |
My company does 8051 systems for a niche market. We analyze and calculate information therein very quickly because we are clever mathematicians. I don't think our competition could even use a 16bit micro. They are burdened with the problem of UML OO C RTOS etc.
We do everything in assembly language. Speed and absolute control over the code and micro dictate this. The difference that 8051 makes in our market is that we are more profitable and can win any pricewar should one ever foolishly breakout. Part of business strategy is, that if your competition knows clearly that you'll win any price war... they never attempt one. aka j |
