I have read all your posts in this thread and I do not have even the vaguest idea of what you are talking about.
two suggestions
1) drop the keyboard part, do a search here, this has been discussed ad nauseam
2) sit down with a text editor - NOT the forum reply window - and get a description of the 40*40 thing that is complete and makes sense. If you have to work at this for an hour, so what, you have not gotten an answer yet because nobody understand your question - partially becuase you mix the keypad in. Once you have the complete descriptionh of your matrix thing cut and paste it to the forum.

I am suggesting this process because we all have a tendency to hurry when in the reply window.
