Hi to All Forum Members,
What I am about to write, may or may not be implemented in this forum, these are just suggestions to this forum moderators.

I am also a member of another forum elektroda.pl. (www.edaboard.com).

There are a 2 points that I would like to discuss.

Point 1: Points System
1a. On "edaboard" forum, each post by any member is given 2 points.
Result of implementing this part on our forum will be that members will feel to give more and more posts. This might include some useless posts just for gaining points. But due to our voting systems these points can be compensated by voting negative points to such posts.

1b. You can donate points to any member if you get a good reply.
Implementing this will urge the members to give quality posts. So if you feel very happy, thrilled, etc. after getting very good replies from Good and experienced members of this forum then you can atleast thank them by donating some points. (I just wonder how many points will be scored by Kai, Erik, Craig, Micheal Karas, Raghunathan, Prahlad, and a lot many whose names I have not mentioned, sorry).


Point 2: Upload/Download apps
You can upload some of the designs, circuits, software, etc, on the edaboard forum. For each upload you are given certain points. And if any other member downloads that information, then both the downloader member and the original poster of that information is awarded some points.
If this is implemented on Our forum, then members will be urged to give out some quality applications on our forum. Well posting such applications will be under the supervision of the senior members of our forum. This will also avoid some very silly posts.
My suggestion: for each download from our forum you can rate negative points. This might help our forum to keep track of Leeches (people who visit forums only for downloads, some months back somebody mentioned these people as leeches, this term fits perfectly for such people).

Please note that these are just the suggestions, which may or may not be implemented.

The uploading of photographs on User profile is something which I would like to thank this forum.
In my college days I had a friend named Raghunathan, he is slim, dark coloured, wearing glasses, and had a moustache like as if it was drawn with a sharp pointed pencil. And believe me I used to have this picture in mind whenever I read Raghunathans posts. But after watching Raghunathan's photograph, I was shocked to see the marked difference. Incidently he has quite a resemblence with another person whom I respect very much, who was my boss 10 years back.

Please Note: I am having a very soft corner for 8052 forum, So I mention this forum as "our Forum".
