Responding to: ???'s previous message
Hi Kai,

Kai, I was surprised to read your post.

If my real intention is to help, then it's a pleasure for me when as many as possible people recieve my help and is of benefit for them! And by the way, I'm also a leecher, every time I download a datasheet, every time I download a tool for programming, coding, debugging, etc.

First thing You are NOT a Leecher. I do NOT consider a person who downloads anything from the net as a leecher.
If you downloaded something (datasheet, appnote, etc.,) then it is keeping in mind that either this information that you have downloaded is atleast informative to you, or it can be useful in some way in future. The least is that, you understand a minimum 20% ~ 100% of the information you have downloaded, or atleast you might think of reading them during your free time.
But have you ever downloaded something of about 50~60MB of data which is of no use to you, Well I have seen many people that download such things which even I cannot think of doing it in rest of my life span. Just to give you examples, here are a few:
I know a person who has just started learning C, using a book, and is learning first instructions such as printf, scanf, etc. This person downloaded, the whole of Linux Kernel Source code, saying that this might be useful to him in the future.
Another person I know (a person just started to read the 8051 bible) has downloaded, the source code of SDCC compiler for Linux. What good is the Linux Kernel source code, or the SDCC source code to these people when these products are being constantly upgraded by people throughout the globe ?

The above are just 2 examples, I can give you a list, which includes downloads for some application notes and source codes in Forth, Pascal, Oracle, and what not. And these people dont even know the basics of programming.
Now what do you call these people? These people are leeches. They just download something which they think will be useful, They just jamm the internet to download about 10~50MB, which is of no use to that person or anybody in vicinity to that person.

There is another breed of people, who just poke their noses around to see what others are doing, and without thinking (or using their own brains) they just copy the products. They do not even put the efforts in understanding why any component of a particular value is used? And these are the people who want ready made answers or "gimme code" stuff. This attitude in students is understandable, because they are the birds that are learning to take their first flight, so they always ask for such kind of help, But you can Never, ever expect such things from people who are in this field having more than 2 years experience.

So I call these people as LEECHES.

Anyways thanks for your views on this topic.

Thank you,

Mr. Kiran V. Sutar
