hi,
I suppose it's a bit like 'c' on a 8051 - years ago you would not even consider it, nowadays its the norm - we've got lots more performance, ram and code space. This way remembers me infinitive loop I see for last years: - create good hardware (fast core, alot of RAM etc). - drop this hard stuff called "assembler", use C! - oops, C-made program runs slowly. We need with more powerful hardware then! - create new hardware (more fast, more memory etc); - why still use C? Take Java/Basic etc - they are simplest, intuitive and do not require so much time to make. - hmm, does program work like a snail again? Ask hardware market for improve performance! etc etc etc I do not say that this is a wrong way, but I see this strange. With such way in the future we will have fantastic hardware and kewl hardware ingineers but what is about software programmers? Most said above is just a thoughts only (IMHO). I just imagine a World where nobody will know how to light up without lamp and switcher even he has match in the store-room. Regards, Oleg |
