I am trying to use either P0 or P1 of the 89c52 for output. I suspect the problem might be the way I have
This problem (that you do not clock the 573 latches) and many more will become much more easy to solve when you have familarized yourself with "the bible". No, as opposed to what others think, I am not arguing that you memorize it, but that you get familiar enough to know which (2?) places to look as to the workings of some thing.
