I made this prototype and used AT89S52, AT89C52 and a parallel programmer to chech the results. Both chips seem OK and output the first byte in the flash (as address is hardwired). I also checked by changing the address jumpers. I can read from any location from both micros. As I said earlier, there must be something in your hardware/prototype which is causing problem for AT89S51. BTW: you had posted the pin voltage levels in an earlier thread. You should connect P3.6 and P3.7 to VCC and should not leave them as un-connected. Now you find the problem and let us know. |
