It seems, Atmel takes broun-out problem in consideration seriously. Step by step they make the new revisions of all Temics derivatives which have this problem.
Yet another derivative which comes with Power Monitor built-in, is AT89C51AC3. The main differences from T89C51AC2:
- On-chip extra RAM 2kb (was 1kb);
- Program Flash 64kb with 100k cycles (was 32kb/10k);
- Integrated Power Monitor;
- Max speed 60MHz (was 40MHz);
- SPI Interface built-in (for PLCC52 and VPFP64 packages);
- lower supply current.

I hope those of us who use T89C51AC2 now may switch to the new derivative (thank`s Atmel, the chips are pin-compatible).
Moreover, it is maybe first time when Atmel has published Errata at time (=
